The eero Pro 6E router is built for speed. And security. And reliability. And simplicity. And, well, everything you ever wanted your router to be. It can keep over 100 devices connected without breaking a sweat. So you can stream, game and WFH at the same time.

If you have a dead spot, you can also connect multiple eeros together to create a mesh network to carry a strong signal into every corner of your home. There are no boring booklets or complicated steps to get you set up. It all starts with the eero app.

Once you’ve downloaded it, you can run everything from your smartphone. Just follow the simple instructions and you’re good to go.

5 eero features you need to know about

From parental controls to smart home integration, the eero is bursting with features. Here are our top five…

1. Guest Wi-Fi for friends and family

If somebody needs the Wi-Fi code, you don’t have to scribble it on a Post-it note or give them that funny little plastic card from the back of your router. With the eero app, you can share the details with one click.

But when you share your Wi-Fi, you’re actually sharing your entire network. If you’d rather keep things a bit more secure, you can create a guest network with a separate log-in.

Guest networks are a useful way to control what your visitors can access and for how long. With the added bonus of making you feel all techy. All you have to do is:

📲Open the eero app

⚙ Click Settings

🤝Click Guest Access

🔛Switch Enable to On

2. Separate profiles for separate folks

Profiles is a handy feature to help you control your network and all the devices on it. You can create different profiles for different users by following the simple steps below. Then you can add specific devices to a profile, set usage schedules and even pause the internet.

Each device can only be added to one profile so think about the best way to allocate them. To get started:

📱 Open the Home tab in the eero app

🔵 Click the blue circle, top right

➕ Select Add a Profile

📛 Add a profile name

💻 Select which devices to add

✅ Click done

From there you can get really creative. Our short blogs will tell you how.

3. Keep kids safe with parental controls

Keeping your kids safe online is every parent’s nightmare. eero Secure makes it a little bit easier. Whether they’re browsing, gaming or streaming videos, advanced content filtering means you can block harmful content easily.

You can also create family profiles (see above) which let you set pauses on your children’s devices and block inappropriate apps.

📱 Open your eero app and head to the discover section

👤 Tap on a profile you would like to setup content filters for.

🔏 Select a filter level that fits your profile's needs.

🤓 Review what settings will be filtered by default for the filter level selected.

✅ Tap on “Apply” to confirm the filter level.

4. Back up for your broadband

Internet Backup is the feature we hope you’ll never have to use. It means your network can instantly switch to a mobile hotspot if your broadband fails. So you can carry on streaming, gaming and video calling until the outage is over. All you have to do is:

📱 Open your eero app. Click Internet and then eero Internet Backup

🌐 Make sure your backup network’s available (if you’re using a mobile hotspot, make sure it’s turned on), then click Add backup network

🔍 Click Search networks and then your backup network when it appears

⛓ You can add up to 8 backup networks

5. Extend your Wi-Fi with Built-in

If you have an internet dead spot in your home, eero Built-in can help. Because it turns some Echo devices into Wi-Fi extenders, helping you extend your network coverage in just a few clicks.

To make it work, you’ll need a compatible eero gateway device and a compatible Echo device. And you have to link your eero and Amazon accounts. Then:

📱 Open your eero app

🌐 Click Discover

🔘 Click on Amazon Connected Home and connect to Amazon

🔑 Enter your Amazon sign-in credentials

🖋Click Sign-in

Amazon Connected Home is now enabled.
