It's full of mistakes. But I love it and I'm really proud of it!

I'm a Workforce Planning Manager here at Cuckoo, which essentially means I'm responsible for the headcount in our contact centre. I create a headcount model based on forecasts, and the team then prepares a schedule for the agents and reacts to any real-time needs, for example if training is needed. 

What I love about this role is the variety. I've been with the company for a really long time. And I never get bored. No day is the same and there's always new challenges.

I'd love to go to Canada, its on my bucket list. I also saw that Alaska hosts the World Ice Sculpture Festival which looks amazing. 

But the cosiest happiest place I can think of is a log cabin I stayed in with my husband on the shore of Loch Ness many years ago. It had a wood burner and we had lots of 'Highland hot chocolates' which have a cheeky glug of Scotch!  ☕

Welcome to the next instalment of our Good Eggs series, where we find out more about our incredible team here at Cuckoo.

Up next is Head of Internal Comms and Engagement, Brian.

I'm known as what they call an AFOL (an Adult Fan of Lego). It's a very unhealthy habit. And a very expensive one. 

My job is basically to make sure that everyone stays in the loop with what's happening in the business. But I also focus on engagement. Making sure our people love coming to work, and that Cuckoo is a great place to work.

I've got loads of Lego at home, I've also got two boys who love Lego so just it's a huge part of my life.

Did you hear about the explosion at the cheese factory?

Assuming unlimited athletic ability... what Olympic sport would you like to compete in, and why?

I'd love to compete in diving. 🏊‍♀️

I am not a huge sports fan, but whenever the Olympics is on, I spend hours watching the diving, mainly criticising incredible athletes for the slightest splash from my sofa while I eat a family size packet of Doritos. 

So, I reckon I would have to put my money where my mouth is and show the world my attempt at falling off a diving board. With style. 

Finally, what's the most embarrassing song on your latest Spotify Wrapped?

I wouldn't say it's embarrassing, because it's an absolute belter...but its defying gravity from Wicked. Blasting that out in the car, destroying it with my vocals!

Up next is Employee Experience Business Partner, Rosie

Everything bar Heinz Ketchup and a Curry sauce from the chippy down the road from me, is off limits

I look after people experience within the People and Culture team. 

My role is all about making sure the employee experience is something we can all be proud of, something that's value driven (in a united, different and Cuckoo way), that it's consistent and that at any given point in time we're taking the opportunity to make coming to work at Cuckoo a great experience. 

My favourite thing about the role is that I'm given autonomy, scope and support to be creative, do things differently and challenge when I don't think we're doing the right thing. 

When I was younger I younger I was really into photography but I just wasn't very good at it! So I never got any fancy cameras

But I love taking pictures of my friends, my kids and my dogs. So, that's why I love my Polaroid camera.

If you could have any celebrity join the People team, who would it be and why would they be a good fit?

I'm a massive Swiftie and have also been an active member of the Beyhive since Writing's on the Wall in 1999 but I think I'm going to stick this side of the pond! I feel like Phoebe Waller-Bridge or Sharon Horgan would fit right in. Both are award-winning, insanely talented, painfully honest and changing the game in their own respective fields. Equally as important as all that, they're bloody hilarious. 

Both were actually born in London so I feel like we'd keep it simple with a (realllllllyyyy) good pub lunch. I'm also not a Londoner myself, so I'd let them pick the pub!

Yes. I really do and its condiments. Pretty much everything bar Heinz Ketchup and a Curry sauce from the chippy down the road from me, is off limits. It's a shame because it makes for a lot of really dry meals when out in nice restaurants. I have no idea where the dislike, and almost phobia, came from but the worst thing you could do to me is serve me up some chips and mayo

Up next is Customer Care Specialist, George

Sometimes a customer has started off really angry or frustrated and we're able to turn it around into a positive experience where the customer is happy and their faith is restored.

I'm a customer service representative for Cuckoo. It involves helping customers everyday, making sure that their broadband is up and working. And if there's an issue we try and fix it as quickly as possible. 

The thing I enjoy most about my role is the feeling you get when you've have a long call with a customer and you can sort everything out for them. Sometimes a customer has started off really angry or frustrated and we're able to turn it around into a positive experience where the customer is happy and their faith is restored.

Well, when you see it you'll know what it is, especially if your fan. It's a replica Eurovision trophy!

It just signifies something I've watched for years, something I've connected with for years, just because of the inclusivity of the whole event. It brings back loads of memories of watching it with friends and family. 

Music is my life pretty much. I used to sing in school productions.

What is the worst haircut you've ever had?

I once died my hair blue, it was a really deep midnight blue. But my hair started to get really long and I look like an Elvis impersonator because of hair dark and how long it got. 

If I had to pick one it would be a bearded dragon. A Youtuber I watch - a lot of - he had a bearded dragon called Steeve. It was always interesting watching the way the eat and the way they walk around. It's really cool to look at.
