What if I can't afford to pay my bill?

We're really sorry to hear that you're struggling to pay your bill. Unlike other broadband companies, you can leave your Cuckoo contract with no exit fees at all. All we ask is that you send back your router - and we'll provide a pre-paid envelope for you to do that with. We've also created a list of independent schemes that might help you get your finances back on track.

Let us know before you bill date if you can’t pay. We’ll try to help out if we can.

To contact us:

  • Log in to your account
  • Click on My Cuckoo
  • Select Support hub
  • Chat to us via your preferred channel

Here are some independent schemes that might help you:

  • Citizen’s Advice advise thousands of people a year. You can call them on 0808 223 1133
  • StepChange, a charity that helps thousands of people overcome debt every week - you can call them for free on 0800 138 1111, or try their helpful Debt Remedy Tool or 60-Second Debt Test
  • National Debtline, an independent charity dedicated to providing free debt advice to millions across England and Wales - they offer free advice online at mymoneysteps.org or through their helpline on 0808 808 4000

It is important that you pay your bill on time so we can continue running our business. If you don’t pay in time we will contact you. We may suspend and then terminate your telephone and broadband service if you continue not to pay.

Unlike other providers, we do not charge an exit fee for leaving.

Cuckoo corner 🐣

💡 Fun fact: On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring is a piece of classical music written by Frederick Delius in 1912. Its first theme is an exchange of cuckoo calls between the oboe and the strings.
